Lip augmentation
Lip augmentation or smile correction?
For many people, the first thing that comes to mind when they hear the word “lip augmentation” is adjectives such as duck lips or balloon lips, as everyone’s beauty ideal is completely individual. This is why some people find full, plump lips to be overwhelming, while for others it’s the ultimate in beauty.
Here at Andro Dental we prefer the term smile correction to lip augmentation, as our aim is not to create unnatural lips, but to achieve a completely harmonious result in line with the aesthetics of the face, according to the patient’s wishes and needs.
By filling the lips with hyaluronic acid, we can correct asymmetrical lips or minor aesthetic problems such as thinning lips when smiling, single lip thickness, or the removal of small bumps.
How the treatment works
The first step in the treatment is not the procedure itself, but a personal consultation to discuss with the patient what their ideal smile would look like and why they would like smile correction. Of course, we will also discuss what options we have and what the planned smile should look like and how it should be done.
During the treatment, we use an anaesthetic cream to make the procedure as uncomfortable as possible for our guests. Hyaluronic acid is injected into the lips using a needle in several places to achieve the desired shape and size. Of course, as with any cosmetic procedure, this is not without risk, either, so in each case the doctor who performs the treatment will discuss these risks with the patient beforehand and asks about their current health condition.
Two weeks after the treatment, you will have your first check-up to see if the desired result has been achieved and to make any necessary corrections.
